Thailand – Bangkok

– DECEMBER 20-22, 2015

We have made our way from Cambodia to Thailand, getting off the crazy bus in Bangkok.  We made our way to the central train station, which has trains, buses, and a monorail all housed from this location.  A good central spot with our accommodations only a 15 minute walk from here.

We took advantaged of our couple of days here (we are heading west for four days then back to Bangkok for New Years Eve) to sample some good old Thai Food.

The streets are always fun to walk because you never know what you’ll find…like an egg shell plant!

A random plant with egg shells on it. It looked neat.

The water taxi are faster than a tuk tuk and only a fraction of the cost.  You can ride the water taxi for less than $1 to get you all of the way downtown for any of the sights to see.

We have only seen one movie during this adventure, which was Avengers 2 Age of Ultron.  We decided to hit our second movie of the trip by going to see Star Wars The Force Awakens in Bangkok.  I’ll save my movie review for anyone who wants to discuss it in person.  No sense ruining the movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet.

We will be heading west for Christmas to see a famous seven-tiered waterfall and to feed some elephants.  Then we will return to Bangkok before heading to the southern islands throughout January.
