Malaysia – Penang

– JANUARY 14-17, 2015

We have returned to Penang, Malaysia on our way to the January 23-25 Thaipusam religious ceremony to come in Kuala Lumpur.  For now we want to rediscover the island we loved back in July.  This time we kept things low-key and stayed in the Chinatown area to see the street art again and to sample some new cuisine.

Many of the trucks in Penang have a decal of the Decepticons and Autobots.  It seems that the Decepticons far outnumber the Autobots here…not good news for Prime.

The decepticons are invading!

One more round of street art in Penang!

We really like staying in Penang…its a place where we could envision having a vacation home.  The people here are wonderful, everyone speaks English, its dirt cheap, and it has all of the comforts of Canada.

Next up we are returning to visit the Cameron Highlands with Brinchang Mountain and a few tea plantations.
